The 6.7L Scorpion is a work of art, everything about this engine was very well though out and executed. The fact that the intake manifolds are the valve covers and the exhaust manifolds are hidden in the valley of the engine makes perfect sense. This keeps all of the heat producing components of the engine away from the cold air inlets of the engine. I had the pleasure of tearing one down recently to install a set of 100 horse injectors and a compound turbo kit from Industrial Injections. I will be posting a lengthy tech article up on our Alligator Performance Blog soon with step by step instructions and pictures.
This engine is one of the easiest I have ever worked on, which you wouldn't think looking under the hood for the first time. It looks like 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag. But with an 8mm socket you can completely disassemble the entire the entire top half of the engine. I will keep you updated on this. Fire a few more questions my way if you have them.
PS, the EGR system is brilliant!
